Halloween is just around the corner. While doing Trick or Treat is not really a tradition here in the Philippines, some people try to adopt the Western Culture to our own. High Class Subdivisions in Paradise Philippines organize Halloween events such as Trick or Treat, Halloween and others. Malls around the Metro organize Halloween events too. I was 10 or 11 then when I first experienced Trick-or-Treating somewhere in Quezon City still in Paradise Philippines. Trick-or-treating, also known as guising, is an activity for children on or around Halloween in which they proceed from house to house in costumes, asking for treats such as candy with the question, “Trick or treat?” The “trick” part of “trick or treat” is a threat to prank the homeowner or his property if no treat is given. Trick-or-treating is one of the main traditions of Halloween. It has become socially expected that if one lives in a neighborhood with children one should purchase treats in preparation for trick-or-treaters. The homeowner should decorate his/her house with Halloween decoration so that the children who will Trick-or-Treat would know that the Homeowner is expecting Trick-Or-Treaters. Most adults would surely give out candies, lollipops and some other sweets. But for a change, why not give out dilis, butong pakwan, peanuts, and other Filipino pica-pica food. What do you think? Kids would surely freak out when they received those.

Bohol, Paradise Philippines
If you are looking for the perfect and more than the usual vacation getaway, Bohol should surely satisfy your needs. Bohol is another gem of the Visayas it is also witness to the blood compact between Boholano Chieftain Sikatuna and the Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legaspi, in 1565. Bohol is about 700 kilometers directly south of Manila and is about 70 kilometers southeast of Mactan Island. The province must have been developed from the magmatic tectonic mechanism which resulted from the underthrusting of the southwest Philippine plate east of Samar and Surigao. The Alicia Schist, the oldest known rock formation in the island, is inferred to be a part of the Bohol crystal rocks before plate interactions. All the succeeding igneous extrusive and intrusive rocks to accumulate were marine and terrestrial deposits in the Bohol basin.
Bohol, Paradise Philippines is famous for the following tourist attractions:
• Chocolate Hills
• Dauis Church
• Baclayon Church
• Blood Compact / Sandugo
• Dagohoy Revolt
• Sandugo Festival
• Bolibong Kingking Festival

Paradise Philippines, with 7, 107 islands and a coastline, which is twice the length of the United States, surely Paradise Philippines could be called as Asia’s Beach Capital for its white sand beaches. Travelling to the Philippines could make enjoy both the blue and warm waters of China Sea and Pacific Ocean. Paradise Philippines is really blessed with vast marine life.
On the previous posts, I’ve blogged about Boracay, one of the famous white sand beach here in the Philippines. Another white sand beach you could visit is Pagudpud located in the Northern part of Paradise Philippines. Pagudpud is dubbed as the longest contiguous white sand with mighty waves and strong winds comparable to Hawaii. At Pagudpud, you could do windsurfing, wave surfing or you could just sit back and enjoy the calm and relaxing waters of Pagudpud. Pagudpud surely promises its visitor a wonderful and more than the usual vacation getaway.
